Required reading. Blah! After five years of only reading text books, research articles, case studies and client charts, the last thing I want is to have to do any “required reading.”
I literally had a nightmare the other night about required reading and assignments for school. It was the craziest thing. In my dream, it was the end of the term, I was taking three classes and every single assignment for all three classes…for the entire term…were due in three days. Crazy, huh?
I suspect part of that is the fact that I have had this routine of school for so long now. I mean, at this point in January, starting in 2014, I was doing my financial check in and confirming the classes I had registered for the first week of the year. To say that its weird to not have to do that anymore is an understatement.
Despite it being weird, I am going to try to enjoy it. I actually picked up a couple of magazines and one book the other day to read…for fun. Its been so long since I have done that that I have pretty much forgotten what reading for fun is like.
Looks like its time to catch up on what the fashion trends are and see what one of my favorite authors wrote while I was buried in those $300 text books.
