First things first…I am blaming Salt Perry for this photo… lol…
Now before anyone starts making any assumptions about me based on this photo, I will say I am neither going to confirm or deny what this picture implies unless I get involved with someone who has a right to know what this photo implies. 😛
I did find all of this ironic though considering many of the assumptions that are made about transgender women when it comes to sex. I know I have talked before about how, as a transgender woman, we are often fetishized and sexualized, at least by men. I’m not saying that men may not see us as women, but it often isn’t us being seen the same way cis women are sen.
For many trans women, we are seen as the kinky sexual fantasy, that woman who will do the things other women won’t do. We are often good enough to sleep with but not woman or good enough to date. For some men, it’s a way to explore latent homosexual fantasies without the guilt of being seen as homosexual since we view ourselves as women. There are a lot of ways men will often view us as more of a fetish or forbidden fantasy instead of the women we are.
The truth is…yes, most of us are typically more sexually open. It’s particularly because we’re trans. It has more to do with the fact we explore so many other things before accepting the fact we are trans. In many cases, we have explored BDSM, homosexual relationships and other fetishes and kinks thinking that is the cause of our dysphoria. Because of this, we are often more open than a lot of people because all of that was a part of our journey.
In the end though, no matter what we enjoy sexually, what we are aching for is to be seen as a woman. Touched as you would touch a woman. Caressed the same way you would caress a woman. We ultimately hope and pray you we look at us the same way you would any other woman and give us the same level of respect you would give any other woman.
And, in return for that, we will often show you the erotic and passionate sides of ourselves that others only dream of. 😉
