My Mother’s Child

I’m not going to bore anyone with another long post this evening.  Not that I don’t have things to talk about, but a lot of it is still in the processing it in my head stage right now.

I was inspired by the memory of my mother to do this picture today.  I have a picture of her in my den from when she was in her 20’s.  As I was looking at it this afternoon, it just kind of lead me to try something new with a head shot.  I figured what the hell.  I’ve been avoiding head shots for a while now because I just feel like they are a weak point in my photography.  But you know…as some point you have to say fuck it at try to tackle that fear.

So being the stubborn, bull headed, obstinate, passionate and hopefully daring woman I am, all of which I got from Mom, I decided to not let the pictures beat me.  It’s my turn to beat them.
